There are few things we care more about here at F-Nation than rallying around empowering women. Today is #BlackWomensEqualPayDay. I challenge each of you to consider the long term ramifications —in our economy and communities— if pay inequity continues to permeate our workplaces.
According to Payscale, white women make an average of 80 cents on the dollar as compared with white men, while black women earn an average of 63 cents on the dollar. This gap —in gender and race— has a lasting impact and should not be ignored.
