A Prayer for a Heart Like God

Heavenly Father,

You are good and worthy of all honor and praise. I return to You with fasting, weeping, and mourning. My soul cries out, and You are faithful to answer. Your grace and compassion for me abound.

Even now, You are with me. Whether I am up or down, I always want to be close to You. Forgive me for the times when I have forgotten your faithfulness. Forgive me for the times when I have received Your mercy but withheld mine from others. Mold my heart to reflect Yours and allow Your Holy Spirit to teach me how to guard it.

Give me ears to hear Your will for my life and a heart willing to obey. And through it, all, teach me to trust that everything works together for my good. In Jesus' name, I pray, Amen.
